Baba Buddha's Long Service

As a young boy tending cattle, Bhai Buddha met Guru Nanak and spoke with such thoughtful wisdom that the Guru lovingly called him ‘Buddha,’ the wise old one, though he was so young.

He went on to serve not just one Guru but six Gurus across a long, faithful life, always humble, always helpful, a steady friend to all.

It was the beloved Baba Buddha who was given the honour of caring for the holy Guru Granth Sahib. A lifetime of quiet service had made him truly beloved.
