Bhai Nand Lal was a brilliant poet, so gifted that even emperors wished to keep him at their courts. But his heart longed for something deeper than royal praise.
He came to Guru Gobind Singh, and there, among people who valued love and service over riches and flattery, he finally felt at home. He poured his gift into beautiful poems of devotion.
He used his talent not to win favour, but to express his love for God and the Guru — and his verses are cherished by Sikhs to this day.
