Dhanna was a simple village farmer with a pure and trusting heart. Seeing others worship a sacred stone, he set up a smooth stone of his own and lovingly offered it his food, sure that God would come and eat.
He waited and waited, refusing to eat himself until his ‘guest’ had eaten first, his faith completely innocent and sincere.
The old story says that such pure, childlike love could not go unanswered — and Dhanna felt God's loving presence fill his heart. It was never the stone, but his sincere love, that mattered.
