The Perfume That Spreads

Guru Nanak often spoke of how goodness spreads. A truly good and loving person, he said, is like a flower or sweet perfume.

You cannot keep such sweetness locked up or hidden — its fragrance drifts out on its own, reaching everyone nearby and lifting their hearts without a single word.

So it is with kindness: live with a loving, honest heart, and its goodness will quietly touch everyone around you.
