In a time of great danger, the elderly Mata Gujri cared for her two youngest grandsons, the little sons of Guru Gobind Singh, when they were separated from the rest of the family in the cold of winter.
Though they were only small children facing frightening grown-ups who wished them to give up their faith, their grandmother filled their hearts with courage, faith, and love.
The little princes stayed brave and true, and their gentle grandmother's strength is remembered with deep love and reverence to this day.
