Late one evening, Guru Nanak and Mardana arrived tired and hungry at a poor man's small hut. The man had very little, but his heart was huge.
He welcomed the travellers warmly, gave them his own bed to rest on, and cooked them the best meal he could from what little he had, happy simply to serve.
Guru Nanak blessed him, for his welcome had been richer than any palace feast. It is not the size of the gift, but the love behind it, that fills a guest's heart.
