The Jewel You Already Have

People search everywhere for treasure — gold, gems, fine things — believing happiness must lie in what they can gather and hold.

But Guru Nanak taught that the greatest jewel of all is already within us: the loving remembrance of God, called ‘Naam,’ which fills the heart with peace.

This jewel cannot be lost, stolen, or worn out, and it shines brighter the more it is shared. The richest person, he said, is the one who has found it.
