Always a Place at the Table
A small, hungry orphan child once wandered, alone and afraid, near a gurdwara. He had no money and no family, and he did not dare to ask for anything.
But the people of the langar saw him, smiled, sat him down in the row with everyone else, and served him a warm meal on the same kind of plate as all the rest.
No one asked who he was or where he came from. In the langar, every person — rich or poor, alone or surrounded by family — always has a place.
🌱 A thought to carry away
Everyone deserves a warm meal and a place to belong, no questions asked.
