ੴ ਸਤਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਕਰਤਾ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਨਿਰਭਉ ਨਿਰਵੈਰੁ ਅਕਾਲ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਅਜੂਨੀ ਸੈਭੰ ਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥

ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਕੇਵਲ ਇਕ ਹੈ। ਸੱਚਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ, ਰਚਣਹਾਰ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਅਮਰ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਸਰੂਪ। ਉਹ ਡਰ-ਰਹਿਤ, ਦੁਸ਼ਮਨੀ ਦੇ ਬਗੈਰ, ਅਜਨਮਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਵੈ-ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ਵਾਨ ਹੈ। ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਦਇਆ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਉਹ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

Whoever sees the Lord's Creative Power with his eyes, and hears the Guru's Bani with his ears, and utters the True Name with his mouth,
ਪਤਿ ਕਾ ਧਨੁ ਪੂਰਾ ਹੋਆ; ਲਾਗਾ ਸਹਜਿ ਧਿਆਨੁ ॥੩॥

ਉਸ ਦੀ ਇਜ਼ਤ ਆਬਰੂ ਦੀ ਮੁਕੰਮਲ ਦੌਲਤ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਬਿਰਤੀ ਸੁਖੈਨ ਹੀ ਸਾਈਂ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।

The months and the seasons come; see, and do your deeds.
