ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਕੇਵਲ ਇਕ ਹੈ। ਸੱਚਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ, ਰਚਨਹਾਰ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਅਮਰ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਸਰੂਪ। ਉਹ ਨਿੱਡਰ, ਦੁਸ਼ਮਨੀ-ਰਹਿਤ ਅਜਮਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਵੈ-ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ਵਾਨ। ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਦਇਆ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਉਹ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਜੋ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੇ ਗੋਲੇ ਦੇ ਗੁਮਾਸ਼ਤੇ ਥੀ ਵੰਞਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਪਿਆਰ ਪੈ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਜਿਹੜੇ, ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਤਾਬੇ, ਤੇਰੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਲਾਹ ਉਚਾਰਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਹੇ ਸਾਹਿਬ! ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਚਿਹਰੇ ਉਤੇ ਚੰਗੇ ਨਸੀਬ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ, ਸਗੋਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਚੰਗੇ ਨਸੀਬ ਲਿਖੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ। ਠਹਿਰਾਉ।

ਕੁੱਬੀ ਅਤੇ ਨਿਕੜੀ ਜਿਹੀ ਹੋਣ ਦੇ ਬਾਵਜੂਦ, ਜੇਕਰ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗੀ ਲੱਗਦੀ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਸੁਹਣੀ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮੋਮ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਂਦੀ ਹੈ।

The bride may be hunch-backed and short, but if she is loved by her Lord Master, she becomes beautiful, and she melts in the Lord's embrace. ||1||
ਏਕੋ ਪ੍ਰਿਉ. ਸਖੀਆ ਸਭ ਪ੍ਰਿਅ ਕੀ; ਜੋ ਭਾਵੈ ਪਿਰ. ਸਾ ਭਲੀ ॥
