ਜੋ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਤਿੰਨਾਂ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦੀ ਕੈਦ ਤੋਂ ਬੱਚ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਮਾੜੀ ਸੰਗਤ ਤੋਂ ਦੂਰੋਂ ਹੀ ਭੱਜ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

Run far away from such people! One who meets the Guru escapes from the bondage of the three dispositions. ||1||

ਹੇ ਮਿਹਰਬਾਨ ਮਾਲਕ! ਰਹਿਮਤ ਦੇ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਇਹ ਦਾਤ ਮੰਗਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਉਪਾਸ਼ਕ ਤੇ ਆਮ੍ਹੋ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਨਾਂ ਕਰੀ।
