ਆਪਣੀ ਆਤਮਾ ਤੇ ਅਕਲ ਸਮਰਪਨ ਕਰ, ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੂਹਰੇ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਦਇਆ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਮੈਂ ਅਕਹਿ ਸਾਈਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਕਹਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ।

I dedicate my mind and intellect, and place them in offering before my Guru; by Guru's Grace, I speak the Unspoken. ||3||
ਮਨਮੁਖ ਮਾਇਆ ਮੋਹਿ ਵਿਆਪੇ; ਇਹੁ ਮਨੁ ਤ੍ਰਿਸਨਾ ਜਲਤ ਤਿਖਈਆ ॥

ਆਪ-ਹੁਦਰੇ ਸੰਸਾਰੀ ਪਦਾਰਥਾਂ ਦੀ ਲਗਨ ਅੰਦਰ ਖਚਤ ਹੋਏ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਇਹ ਆਤਮਾ ਪਿਆਸੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਖਾਹਿਸ਼ ਅੰਦਰ ਸੜ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।

The self-willed manmukhs are engrossed in attachment to Maya; their minds are thirsty, burning with desire.

ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਦੁਆਰਾ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਸੁਧਾ-ਸਰੂਪ ਪਾਣੀ ਪਰਾਪਤ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਅੱਗ ਬੁੱਝ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਵਿਸ਼ਾਲ ਨਾਮ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਬੁਝਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।

Following the Guru's Teachings, I have obtained the Ambrosial Water of the Naam, and the fire has been put out. The Word of the Guru's Shabad has put it out. ||4||
ਇਹੁ ਮਨੁ ਨਾਚੈ. ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਆਗੈ; ਅਨਹਦ ਸਬਦ ਧੁਨਿ ਤੂਰ ਵਜਈਆ ॥
