ਸਾਰੇ ਕਰਮਕਾਂਡ ਤੇ ਧਾਰਮਕ ਸੰਸਕਾਰ ਪਤਨੀ ਇਸ ਯੁੱਗ ਅੰਦਰ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ,
English
All sorts of religious rituals are performed in this age,
ਬਿਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਰਸ; ਸੁਖੁ ਤਿਲੁ. ਨਹੀ ਲਾਧਾ ॥
bin har ras; sukh til. nahee laadhaa |

ਪ੍ਰੰਤੂ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੇ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਦੇ ਬਾਝੋਂ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਇਕ ਭੋਗ ਭਰ ਭੀ ਆਰਾਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੱਭਦਾ।
English
but without the sublime essence of the Lord, not an iota of peace is found.
ਭਈ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਤਸੰਗੇ; ਤਉ ਧਨ ਪਿਰ ਅਨੰਦ ਉਲਾਸਾ ਹੇ ॥੫॥

ਜਦ, ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਸਤਿਸੰਗਤ ਰਾਹੀਂ, ਮਾਲਕ ਮਿਹਰਬਾਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਪਤਨੀ ਤੇ ਪਤੀ ਖੁਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਤੇ ਅਨੰਦ ਮਾਣਦੇ ਹਨ।
English
When the Lord becomes Merciful, O Nanak, then in the Sat Sangat, the True Congregation, the bride and the husband enjoy ecstasy and bliss. ||5||
