ਜੋਬਨ ਜਾਰਿ; ਜੁਗਤਿ ਸੋ ਪਾਵੈ ॥
joban jaar; jugat so paavai |

ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਜੁਆਨੀ ਨੂੰ ਫੁਕ ਦੇਵੇ, ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਠੀਕ ਰਸਤੇ ਨੂੰ ਪਾ ਲੈਦਾ ਹੈ।

and burns away the desires of his youth, then he finds the right way.
ਅਸ ਜਰਿ ਪਰ ਜਰਿ; ਜਰਿ ਜਬ ਰਹੈ ॥

When he burns his desire for his own wealth, and that of others,
ਤਬ ਜਾਇ ਜੋਤਿ; ਉਜਾਰਉ ਲਹੈ ॥੧੪॥
