ਸੱਚੇ ਦਿਲੋਂ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰਨ ਦੁਆਰਾ, ਬੰਦਾ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਚਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਠੰਢ ਬਖਸ਼ਣਹਾਰ ਆਰਾਮ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਸਦਾ ਹੈ।

Peace and tranquility come to dwell within the mind; meditating within the heart, there comes a lasting peace.
ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਖਾਣਾ. ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਪੈਨਣਾ; ਨਾਨਕ. ਨਾਮੁ ਵਡਾਈ ਹੋਇ ॥੧॥

ਨਾਮ-ਸੁਧਾਰਸ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਭੋਜਨ ਹੈ, ਨਾਮ ਸੁਧਾਰਸ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਪੁਸ਼ਾਕ ਹੈ, ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਅਤੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੁਆਰਾ, ਹੀ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਭਤਾ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ।

The Ambrosial Amrit is his food, and the Ambrosial Amrit is his clothes; O Nanak, through the Naam, the Name of the Lord, greatness is obtained. ||1||

ਹੇ ਬੰਦੇ! ਤੂੰ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਸ੍ਰਵਣ ਕਰ ਅਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਖੂਬੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਖਜਾਨੇ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਪਾ ਲਵੇਂਗਾ।
