The mighty Bhima, proud of his great strength, was striding through the forest when he found an old monkey lying across the path, its tail blocking the way.
“Move your tail, old one,” said Bhima. “I am too weak and old,” said the monkey. “Move it yourself.” Bhima tried to lift the tail with one hand, then both — and could not budge it at all.
The monkey was Hanuman, his own elder brother in spirit. Bhima bowed, his pride melted, and Hanuman blessed him. Even the strongest, he learned, should stay humble.
