The Dreaming Beggar

A poor man was given a pot of porridge, which he hung above his bed. Lying back, he began to daydream: “I'll sell this for a little money, buy goats, then cows, then become rich…”

“Then I'll marry, and have a son, and if he misbehaves I'll scold him — like THIS!” And he kicked his leg in the air just as he imagined it.

His foot struck the hanging pot, which crashed down and spilled all over him. His grand dreams ran down his face in sticky porridge.
