When Baby Hanuman Chased the Sun

When Hanuman was a baby, he woke up very hungry. High in the sky he saw the round, glowing sun and thought it was a delicious ripe mango.

So he leapt up, up, up into the sky to grab it! The gods were alarmed and gently stopped him, and in the gentle tumble Hanuman's chin got a little mark — which is how he got his name.

Seeing how special this brave child was, the gods blessed him with great gifts. But Hanuman, as he grew, used them only to help others.
