Four friends travelled together: three were very learned, and one had only plain common sense. In the forest they found the scattered bones of a dead lion.
To show off their learning, the three decided to bring the lion back to life. The fourth said, “Wait — do you really think it wise to revive a lion?” They laughed at him.
As they began their work, the sensible friend simply climbed a tall tree. The lion came roaring back to life — and the wise, cautious friend was the only one who came safely home.
