One day, near Rama and Sita's forest home, a dazzling deer appeared, its coat shimmering like gold. Sita longed for it, and Rama went to fetch it, leaving his brother Lakshmana to guard her.
But the deer was a demon in disguise, part of a plan to lure Rama away. It cried out in Rama's voice, and a worried Sita sent Lakshmana to help, leaving herself unguarded.
That was the moment Ravana had waited for. The story gently reminds us that things which look too tempting can sometimes hide a trick.
