A jackal found a fallen bow with a tight string, and gnawing at it he tasted something delicious. He had already eaten well that day, but greed told him to keep chewing for more.
He bit through the taut string — which snapped back with a great SNAP, and the wood sprang up sharply and struck him.
Had he been content with what he already had, he would have walked away happy. His greed for ‘just a little more’ was his undoing.
