Tulsidas and the Helpful Stranger

Tulsidas loved Rama and his faithful Hanuman so dearly that he set out to write their story in the language of the common people, so everyone could enjoy it.

The old tales say a humble, unknown helper kept appearing whenever Tulsidas was in need — listening to his verses, guiding him, encouraging him — and only later did he realise it had been Hanuman himself, in disguise.

His great poem of Rama is still sung in millions of homes, a gift born of love and a little quiet help.
