ਨਫ਼ਰ ਨਾਨਕ ਇੱਕ ਅਰਜ਼ ਗੁਜਾਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜੇਕਰ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਚੰਗਾ ਲੱਗੇ ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਗੁਰੂ! ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੀ ਇਹ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾਂ ਸੁਣ।

har har kathaa sunaae prabh; guramat har ridai samaanee |

ਹੇ ਗੁਰਦੇਵ! ਤੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਮਾਲਕ ਦੀ ਵਾਰਤਾ ਸੁਣਾ, ਤੇਰੀ ਸਿਖਮਤ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਵਾਰਤਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਟਿਕ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।

O Lord God, please preach Your sermon to me. Through the Guru's Teachings, the Lord is merged into my heart.
ਜਪਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਕਥਾ ਵਡਭਾਗੀਆ; ਹਰਿ ਉਤਮ ਪਦੁ ਨਿਰਬਾਣੀ ॥

ਤੂੰ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਮਾਲਕ ਦੀ ਵਾਰਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਸੋਚ ਵਿਚਾਰ, ਹੇ ਨਸੀਬਾਂ ਵਾਲਿਆ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰਾ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਸਰੇਸ਼ਟ ਤੇ ਅਬਿਨਾਸ਼ੀ ਪਦਵੀ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ।
