ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਬੇਥਾਹ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਹਨ ਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਬੱਚਾ ਹਾਂ। ਆਪਣੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਸਦਕਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਮੇਰੀ ਪਰਵਰਸ਼ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।

I am just a child; the Guru is the Unfathomable Lord of the World. In His Mercy, He cherishes and sustains me.

ਹੇ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਦੇ ਪਾਲਣਹਾਰ ਵਿਸ਼ਾਲ ਸੁਆਮੀ! ਨਾਨਕ ਤੇਰਾ ਬੱਚਾ ਜ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਅੰਦਰ ਡੁਬ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਤੂੰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਹਰ ਕੱਢ ਲੈ।
