ਤੂੰ ਹਰੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਿਫਤਾਂ ਤੇ ਖੂਬੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਗਾਇਨ ਕਰ ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਾਪ ਤੇ ਦੁਖੜੇ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਣਗੇ।

Sing the Kirtan, the Praises of the Lord of the Universe, and all sins and sorrows shall depart.
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ. ਛੰਤ ਗੋਵਿੰਦ ਹਰਿ ਕੇ, ਮਨ ਹਰਿ ਸਿਉ ਨੇਹੁ ਕਰੇਹੁ; ਐਸੀ ਮਨ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਹਰੇ ॥੧॥

ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਫਰਮਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੇ ਗੀਤ ਗਾਇਨ ਕਰ, ਹੇ ਬੰਦੇ! ਤੂੰ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਪਾ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਐਹੋ ਜਿਹਾ ਪਿਆਰ ਗੰਢ।

Says Nanak, chant the Hymns of the Lord, the Lord of the Universe, O mind, and enshrine love for the Lord; love the Lord this way in your mind. ||1||
ਜੈਸੀ ਮਛੁਲੀ ਨੀਰ, ਇਕੁ ਖਿਨੁ ਭੀ. ਨਾ ਧੀਰੇ; ਮਨ ਐਸਾ ਨੇਹੁ ਕਰੇਹੁ ॥

ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਮੱਛੀ ਪਾਣੀ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇਹਦੇ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਇੱਕ ਮੁੱਹਤ ਭਰ ਭੀ ਧੀਰਜ ਨਹੀਂ ਧਾਰਦੀ ਏਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੇ ਜਿੰਦੇ! ਤੂੰ ਮਾਲਕ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰ।

As the fish loves the water, and is not content even for an instant outside it, O my mind, love the Lord in this way.
