ਆਪ ਹੀ ਦਿਲਬਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ, ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਗਰਦਨ ਦੁਆਲੇ ਸੰਗਲ ਪਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਖਿਚਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੀ ਉਹ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।

ਇਸ ਸਾਰਾ ਜਹਾਨ ਆਉਣ ਤੇ ਜਾਣ ਦੇ ਅਧੀਨ ਹੈ, ਹੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਨਦਾਨ ਮੂੜ੍ਹ ਜਿੰਨੇ ਸੋ ਤੂੰ ਸਾਈਂ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰ।

This whole world is engrossed in coming and going; O my foolish and ignorant mind, be mindful of the Lord.
ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰਹੁ ਗੁਰੁ ਮੇਲਹੁ; ਤਾ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਸਮਾਣਾ ॥੨॥

ਹੇ ਮਹਾਰਾਜ ਸੁਆਮੀ! ਮਿਹਰ ਧਾਰ ਕੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਾ ਦੇ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੀਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਵਾਂ।

O Dear Lord, please, take pity upon me, and unite me with the Guru, that I may merge in the Lord's Name. ||2||
ਜਿਸ ਕੀ ਵਥੁ ਸੋਈ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਜਾਣੈ; ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਦੇਇ ਸੁ ਪਾਏ ॥
jis kee vath soee prabh jaanai; jis no dee su paae |

ਉਹ ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਵਸਤੂ ਇਹ ਨਾਮ ਹੈ। ਕੇਵਲ ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਹੀ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹੀ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

Only one who has it knows God; he alone has it, to whom God has given it
ਵਸਤੁ ਅਨੂਪ ਅਤਿ ਅਗਮ ਅਗੋਚਰ; ਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰਾ ਅਲਖੁ ਲਖਾਏ ॥੩॥

ਪਰਮ ਸੁੰਦਰ, ਪਹੁੰਚ ਤੋਂ ਪਰੇ ਅਤੇ ਸੋਚ ਸਮਝ ਤੋਂ ਉਚੇਰੀ ਹੈ, ਇਹ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਵਸਤੂ। ਪੂਰਨ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਉਹ ਸਾਂਈਂ, ਜੋ ਗਿਆਤ ਤੋਂ ਪਰੇ ਹੈ, ਜਾਣਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

- so very beautiful, unapproachable and unfathomable. Through the Perfect Guru, the unknowable is known. ||3||
