ਉਹ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਚੇਤੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦੇ, ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰਚਿਆ ਹੈ। ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੀ ਸਮਝੋ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਪਰਾਪਤ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ।

The poor fools do not remember the One who created them; this understanding of the Lord is only obtained by those who become Gurmukh. ||2||
ਹਉਮੈ ਰੋਗਿ ਸਭੁ ਜਗਤੁ ਬਿਆਪਿਆ; ਤਿਨ ਕਉ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਣ ਦੁਖੁ ਭਾਰੀ ॥

ਸਾਰਾ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਸਵੈ-ਹੰਗਤਾ ਦੀ ਬੀਮਾਰੀ ਅੰਦਰ ਗ੍ਰਸਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਜੰਮਣ ਅਤੇ ਮਰਨ ਦਾ ਮਹਾਨ ਕਸ਼ਟ ਉਠਾਉਣਾ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
