ਪੁਸ਼ਾਕਾਂ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਪਤੀ ਪਰਾਪਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦਾ। ਪੁਸ਼ਾਕਾਂ ਪਹਿਰ ਪਹਿਰ ਕੇ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਹਰ ਹੱਟ ਗਈ ਹੈ।

But my Husband Lord is not obtained by any robes; I have tried and tried, and given up wearing robes.

ਨਾਨਕ ਕੇਵਲ ਉਹ ਹੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੰਤ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਉਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਜੋ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਣਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।

O Nanak, they alone obtain their Husband Lord, who listen to the Guru's Teachings.
ਜੋ ਤਿਸੁ ਭਾਵੈ ਸੋ ਥੀਐ; ਇਨ ਬਿਧਿ ਕੰਤ ਮਿਲੀ ॥੨॥
jo tis bhaavai so theeai; in bidh kant milee |2|

ਇਸ ਤਰੀਕੇ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਤਾ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜਿਹੜਾ ਕੁਛ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ, ਕੇਵਲ ਉਹ ਹੀ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
