ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਕੇਵਲ ਇਕ ਹੈ। ਸੱਚਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ, ਰਚਣਹਾਰ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਅਮਰ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਸਰੂਪ। ਉਹ ਨਿਡੱਰ, ਦੁਸ਼ਮਨੀ ਰਹਿਤ ਅਜਨਮਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਵੈ-ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ਵਾਨ ਹੈ। ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਦਇਆ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਉਹ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

je man chit aas rakheh har aoopar; taa man chinde anek anek fal paaee |

ਹੇ ਬੰਦੇ! ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਅੰਦਰ; ਜੇਕਰ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਉਮੀਦ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਉਤੇ ਰੱਖੇ, ਤਦ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਚਿੱਤ-ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਬੜੇ ਬੜੇ ਹੀ ਮੇਵੇ ਲਵੇਂਗਾ।

If, in his conscious mind, he places his hopes in the Lord, then he shall obtain the fruits of all the many desires of his mind.

Nothing is in their hands; what can these poor creatures do? By their actions, nothing can be done.

This hope placed in other friends comes from the love of duality. In an instant, it is gone; it is totally false.
